Hollywood Energetic HLC-3
High-quality 2-channel converter that reduces the loudspeaker signal from the headunit to the level of RCA inputs for an external amplifier. It allows you to connect a car stereo that does not have RCA outputs (CINCH) to an external power amplifier. The converter has a smooth adjustment of the output signal level, a Remote output for the amplifier and a noise filter with separation of the constant component (DC). The aluminum housing additionally shields against external interference.

smooth adjustment of the output signal, separately for the left and right channels
REMOTE TURN ON / OFF output - a circuit for switching on and off the external power amplifier
designed for radios with a maximum output power of 2x50W
2 RCA outputs (left and right channel)

CONNECTIONS DESCRIPTION - according to the markings on the converter housing:

"OUTPUT" section
RCA level signal outputs for the left (L) and right (R) channels connected to the RCA inputs of the power amplifier
"POWER" section (power supply and Remote output to control the amplifier - description on the housing)
(G) - black wire - power supply ground (-12V) - connect to the power supply ground of the radio, amplifier or the vehicle body
(+) - red wire - power supply (+ 12V) - connect e.g. to the power cable of the radio or power amplifier
(R) - blue wire - Remote output (+ 12V) for switching the amplifier on / off - connect to the Remote input in the amplifier

DESCRIPTION OF THE SIGNAL INPUTS according to the markings printed on the converter cables (not on the housing):

"L INPUT R" section (speaker level inputs - description on the cables)
white wire (LF +) - connect to the loudspeaker output from the radio for the left channel with positive (+) polarity
black and white wire (LF-) - connect to the loudspeaker output from the radio for the left channel with negative polarity (-)
black wire (Ground 12V-) - ground (optional) - sometimes it may be helpful to connect to ground to minimize interference
gray wire (RF +) - connect to the loudspeaker output from the radio for the right channel with positive (+) polarity
gray-black wire (RF-) - connect to the loudspeaker output from the radio for the right channel with negative polarity (-)

The converter can be installed near the radio, loudspeakers or directly next to the amplifier, if there are no other devices or installations in these places that would be a source of strong electrical interference.

The description of connections is valid for the version offered from March 25, 2014.
